Kiawah River

Kiawah River is a new waterfront community located 15 miles from historic Charleston, South Carolina. This stunning Lowcountry community encompasses 2,000 acres of marshland, creeks and ponds, oak and pine forests, and riverfront property on Johns Island. Featuring amenities celebrating the sea islands life, the master plan includes a community farm, a swim club, events hall, retail village, deep water dock and 21 miles of nature trails.

The Beach Company

The Beach Company is a real estate development company headquartered in Charleston, SC.

Founded in 1945 by J.C. Long, The Beach Company is well known for real estate development in South Carolina. With a history of establishing landmark properties and communities, the company evaluates each development opportunity for its potential to improve the quality of life for the neighbors and contribute to the long-term economic vitality of the region. The Beach Company’s diverse real estate interests include residential and resort properties, office buildings, shopping centers, industrial parks and land across the Southeast. With progressive vision, influenced by a deep reverence for tradition, The Beach Company’s mission is to create enduring value in every endeavor for generations to come.

Kiawah River

Powerful engagement begins with authenticity. Social media marketing has become a force of influence, and Kiawah River’s community leveraged this as a tactic to gain leads, increase web traffic, promote products, grow brand awareness and engage with its audiences. I managed Kiawah River’s Instagram and Facebook pages from 2018 to 2021.

The Instagram and Facebook pages curated multimedia that thoughtfully illustrate the brand’s identity. The copywriting is strategically written in coordination with the marketing plan, emphasizing key themes such as waterfront living, outdoor activities, wildlife preservation, community events, Southern cuisine, Charleston culture and Kiawah River Farm’s agrihood.

In 2020, Kiawah River’s Instagram had 12,229,624 impressions and reached 3,207,297 people. The Facebook page had over 12,229,624 impressions and reached 10,914,747 people in 2020. The Facebook page is one of the leading traffic sources for the website.

In addition to organic SMM, I assisted in paid social media ads for Kiawah River for publications like Charleston Magazine, Charleston Today, Garden & Gun and Charleston Convention and Visitors Bureau.

I created monthly analytic reports to measure month-to-month progress and observations for Kiawah River’s Facebook and Instagram.

The BEACH COMPANY

From 2017 to March 2020, I managed social media for The Beach Company’s 10 Southeastern multifamily communities. I utilized the property management teams to post on their independent channels by training them with a Multifamily Marketing Workshop. By presenting them with brand standards, strategies, apartment message briefs, apps, industry ideas and examples of crisis communication management, I taught them how to schedule their own social media. This efficiently used our in-house marketing team’s time, while influencing our developments to be at the top of their industry’s social media presence.

In addition to Southeastern apartments, I oversaw The Jasper’s photography and social media management from May 2019 to March 2020.
